Shadows Hiding

2014-2017

Suddenly, I found myself in the wild, raw, and unpredictable place I had been seeking, shrouded in darkness and invisible to my eyes during the day.

„…this forest resembles a vast park more than a forrest“, I said to myself, Numerous footpaths and lanes intersect like ivy roots tracing through tree bark. Houses, streets, and other people never seem far away. A motorway winds its way near by, blending its sounds with those of birds, wind, and leaves, eventually merging with them. I had to remind myself that the Lennebergwald is, indeed, a forest, and thus I set out in search of the forest within the forest.

After living there for a few weeks, one night I ventured out with friends, deciding to walk the three kilometers to the nearest railway station, necessitating a walk through the forest. Upon my return, I realized that I had to cross it once more, but this time, at night.

Suddenly, I found myself in the wild, raw, and unpredictable place I had been seeking, shrouded in darkness and invisible to my eyes during the day.Delving into the transformative experience of nocturnal excursions, exploring the interplay of light and darkness, civilization and wilderness within seemingly mundane surroundings I suddenly whitnessed the transformative nature of a familiar forest, evoking a sense of mystery and adventure as one navigates through its eerie beauty.
